My passion is to help individuals and couples as they face addiction, trauma, and the stressors of life that lead to hopelessness, pain and loss. I engage individuals and couples using a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, respecting their freedom of choice while challenging them to become the persons they really want to be. My therapeutic approach is a blending of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (particularly mindfulness and distress tolerance), and psychodynamic therapy aligned with the power of 12 step recovery. The goal of treatment is to guide people to discover the inner resources, heal their trauma, build resilience and develop of supportive community. The ultimate goal is to discover the healing and new skills that allow people to live with a renewed sense of purpose, hope and authenticity they never believed was possible.
